Fashion for Change
2019
Fashion for Change is a non-profit organization that runs an annual charity fashion show in Kitchener, Waterloo.
Our mission is to use student fashion and other artistic expressions to make an impact. As of 2018, Fashion for Change has donated $110,000 to WE Charity.
My main responsibilities involved ideating the visual design for the 2019 showcase, Tuesday. I also contributed by creating social media content to promote the show along with other events that the non-profit held throughout the year.

Brainstorming
The premise of the 2019 show Tuesday is the re-telling of 7 stories from individuals around the world. These events are all happening simultaneously on what seems to be another ordinary day of the week, Tuesday.
When promoting events for the 2019 show, we wanted to use one cohesive style for all our social media. The design team decided to use newspapers as our main source of inspiration because this is a place where people read about stories that are happening locally and internationally.
Here are some sample assets I put together during the ideation phase:

Results
After looking at everybody's mood boards, we decided to go ahead with the idea of newspaper clippings.
We also took inspiration from scrapbooking, and included elements that can further tell a story in our social media posts (i.e. bus tickets, maps, etc.).
